Using the robot-assisted da Vinci Surgical System, physicians can perform highly intricate procedures involving the kidneys, bladder and prostate, complex hysterectomies and other gynecologic surgeries with less post-operative pain, fewer complications, decreased blood loss and shorter recovery periods.
Also, in collaboration with the University of Minnesota Duluth Medical School, St. Luke's is involved with clinical research activities in the areas of cancer, lung and heart disease through the Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research.
