Event Description:

Senator Roger Reinert cordially invites you to join him and guests Commander Brian Tanaka and Rear Admiral David Duryea for breakfast Friday August 22 at 7:30AM at Valentini’s.

These distinguished naval officers will be in town to support and highlight Navy Week Duluth.  The purpose of Navy Week is to help people better understand the role of the US Navy in the 21st century.  They are interested in discussing STEM issues, the Navy’s role in worldwide commerce, and efforts to hire veterans back into the civilian workforce.

Commander Tanaka is the new CO of the USS Minnesota.
