A $50 million utility bill?
The City established, in 2010, the Duluth Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to study the deteriorating Duluth water system problem and propose a plan to move forward.
The proposal envisions a series of water rate increases beginning July 1st of this year. That would be followed by another rate hike on January 1st and additional increases each year through 2016.
Join us at the FORVM for a discussion with representatives of the city Public Utility Commission about the proposed water system infrastructure repair and upgrade proposal. Hear from Commission members Jennifer Julsrud (City Councilor) Jim Stauber (City Councilor), Patrick Huston and City Director of Public Works and Utilities Jim Benning.
