The biggest citizen advocacy event - the 28th Annual Duluth & St. Louis County at the Capitol Days is set for Wednesday, February 12 – Thursday, February 13. We need your help to be the voice of business to our elected officials and it is as important as ever that we head to St. Paul together to advocate for several important priorities for our region.

Grand Reception

Throughout the day on Wednesday, Duluthians and Northeastern Minnesotans will meet with legislators throughout Minnesota. That same evening, participants will attend the Grand Reception, providing a unique opportunity for people to tell their organization’s story and dine on local favorites. Legislators and their staff are invited to the Grand Reception to meet you, our local stakeholders, and discuss developments in the Northland. Visit vendor booths, enjoy local food and beverages and have our voices heard. RSVP to the Grand Reception below.

Legislative Breakfast
The morning following our Grand Reception, we will gather for breakfast and hear from our local delegation in the House and Senate for an update. The Governor and Lt. Governor have been invited to present. RSVP and details for the Legislative Breakfast can be found here.

The location of the Grand Reception and the Legislative Breakfast will be at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront Hotel. Our room block does fill.Reserve a hotel at the group rate, please make your reservation online. Legislative Breakfast : Details from Decision-Makers
The morning following our Grand Reception, we will gather for breakfast and hear from our local delegation for a session update. The morning includes Coffee and Conversation Gathering, at 8:30am for early risers. Then, at 9:00am, join fellow stakeholders from St. Louis County to hear from our state’s leading elected officials and local delegation to learn what is unfolding within the Minnesota Senate and House of Representatives. The Governor adn Lt. Governor have been invited to attend. Find out how Duluth and St. Louis County are faring within this legislative session.

Fuse Duluth & UMD Career Center Present: The "Ready for the Real World" Series

As the Duluth Chamber’s young professionals initiative, Fuse Duluth has spent the past 20 years dedicated to connecting and empowering emerging leaders in the community. Committed to professional development, networking, and community involvement, Fuse aims to recruit and retain young talent as well as cultivate the next generation of business leaders in Duluth.

With this mission in mind, Fuse Duluth and the UMD Career Center are proud to present a new event focused on the professional development of local university students: The "Ready for the Real World" Series. During this special preparatory workshop before local university career fairs begin, students will learn real-life career skills such as interviewing tactics, personal branding, professional email verbiage, negotiation skills, and how to effectively network. The event will feature short skills presentations, mock interviews, résumé/online profiles review, and roundtable discussions with industry professionals.

This event is FREE for any local university students to attend - including UMD, Lake Superior College, College of St. Scholastica, UWS, Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College, and Northland Technical College.

This event is presented by Minnesota Power - An ALLETE Company.

Finally Fridays: Morning Networking Events to Elevate Your Profile

Finally Fridays is the Chamber’s morning social series which provides guests the opportunity to start their day with professional accompaniment, breakfast beverages, and snacks. Join us at this special Finally Fridays hosted by Mentor North and the many organizations within the Damiano Center to learn more about the essential services they provide to our community.

In lieu of a registration fee, the Duluth Chamber team will collect cash donations at the door that will go directly to support the mission of Mentor North. Credit card donations will also be accepted. A $5 minimum donation is encouraged.
