Each year the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes over 100 new members to its network of 1,000 member businesses and non-profits. This special event, hosted at the St. Louis County Depot Great Hall, will bring together the Chamber’s newest and long-time Chamber members for a wonderful networking-filled spring evening. The New Member Mixer will offer attendees a chance to network with other business professionals, sample delicious cuisine from local restaurants and caterers, enjoy DJ music, visit sponsor booths, and win prizes.

Sofidel Group was founded in 1966 and is one of the largest producers of paper for hygienic and domestic uses (tissue) in the world: toilet paper, kitchen towels, napkins, handkerchiefs and tissues. From its headquarters in Porcari (Lucca, Italy), Sofidel coordinates the activities of 17 companies throughout Europe and the United States, which produce more than 1.4 million tons of paper each year and provide more than 7,000 people with employment. Sofidel acquired the Duluth ST Paper mill in January 2024 and now plans to add nearly 600,000 square feet of space to its Duluth operations, a $200 million project that is estimated to bring an additional 160 jobs to the city.
